New Clark IT Director’s Drive to Help Businesses Survive Oil and Gas Slump

Helping to ensure that clients can make efficiencies and strengthen their productivity in the North-east’s challenging business climate is a key focus of the new technical director of Clark Integrated Technologies.

Amar Mirashi has stepped into post at a time when oil and gas sector slump continues to impact on businesses with many scrutinising how they operate – and looking at potential ways of making savings.

North-east firms are placing a stronger focus on cutting costs and deploying efficient solutions. By collaborating with managed service providers like Clark IT who have tech expertise at their fingertips, businesses can access a range of innovative ICT products and solutions to help achieve efficiency, reduce risk and improve reliability.

Clark IT offers packages that help businesses to become more effective without compromising on safety or security.

Amar says: “The downturn in oil and gas has caused businesses to change their strategies, mostly to cut costs, but we are here to react to that and we have products that boost productivity for clients, cut their costs, make them more efficient and reliable.

"It may seem surprising, but the energy downturn has seen Clark IT remain busy as clients review their ICT systems. They want them to run as smoothly as possible while providing value for money. We can keep ICT working properly by offering the right plan, deploying appropriate solutions, and with 24/7 proactive system monitoring preventing problems arising in the first place along with ad-hoc support.

"By keeping Clark IT innovative and technically ahead of the curve through training and finding new products/solutions, this in turn helps clients be more effective."

Amar has been with Clark IT for seven years, previously working for a Glasgow-based scientific instruments firm. A computing post graduate, Amar holds a number of industry accreditations including Cisco CCNP and Microsoft Server and Cloud certifications.

Speaking of his promotion, Amar says: "I am absolutely delighted to take up this position, and will be aiming for Clark IT to be the best in class in the managed services provider market."
